The Electronic System Design (ESD) Alliance, a SEMI Technology Community representing the electronic system and semiconductor design ecosystem, is a community that addresses technical, marketing, economic and legislative issues affecting the entire industry. The SEMI Foundation is a nonprofit charitable organization founded in 2001 to ensure the sustained growth of the microelectronics industry by attracting, developing and retaining a well-trained and innovative workforce, through:
- Educational programs, diversity initiatives and member engagement
- Science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) professional skills development programs for middle school, high school and university students
- Programs for educators, veterans and adults looking at re-skilling and up-skilling their talents
